Chicago Go Go Dancing!
Posted on 26. Nov, 2007 by Fred in Chicago Discounts, Chicago Events
I just got my weekly Chicago GoldStar email and in it was a listing for Go-Go Dancing for Women: A Groovy Workout.
Event Description reads:
Go-go dancing was popular in the ’60s and ’70s. Think Marcia from “The Brady Bunch,” Goldie Hawn from “Laugh In” or those “shagalicious” ladies from the Austin Powers films. Go-go dancing provides an all-over workout: arms, hips and thighs. It’s a little bit of cabaret movement combined with groovy tunes and hip shaking and arm swirling.
This event sounds like a randy dandy heck of a good time to me and it will be held at the Big City Swing venue in Chicago, IL.
I always look forward to the Goldstar email because not only do they list the coolest and hottest shows to check out in the city, be it a play, theatre show, comedy night, or a groovy 60’s themed workout) They also provide HUGE discounts usually more than half off.
How does it work? Go to Goldstar and sign up for a free account. Browse the Chicago events list and buy your tickets online directly through the site. That’s it. Enjoy the show!

Hello, My name is Peter Tsoukalas. I am the GM of Heat Nightclub in Schaumburg. http://www.heat-nightclub.com I saw your posting on Craigslist for hiring Go Go Dancers. I am not looking to apply (obviously), but I would like to let you know of an upcoming event if some of your performers, that are not booked, might be interested in.
We are holding a Go-Go dancer contest on Sat. Oct 3rd. We will be having Nico Vasquez (20-pack) from the VH-1 reality tv shows “I Love Money” and “I Love NY”. Prizes will include a trip to Vegas, a professional photoshoot, a ring girl at a MAYHEM fight plus cash and other prizes. If you know any girls that would be interested, get me their name, phone number and email address and I will contact them with the rules and waiver. Girls who enter get free cover and a drink ticket plus a guest list up to 10 people at half cover ($5). Judging will be based on performance and audience participation. We encourge participants to bring their friends.
This is a 1 night contest. We are currently not using or hiring Go-Go dancers. If you are interested in coming out and possibly scouting girls for possible employment, I would be more than happy to put you on our guest list for that night. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Peter
